Hagley Rotaract Charities Page
Over the years, Hagley Rotaract has raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities. Every year we choose one or two charities to be the focus of our fund raising effort and donate the proceeds at the end of the year.
This Year's Charities
Following a vote, this year's charities are Mary Stevens Hospice and Cancer Research UK.

2004/2005 &endash; Birmingham Young Carers &endash; NCH
Sue Munday &endash; 2004/2005 Club President summarises how the club raised the money:
"I would like to thank all Rotaractors, family, friends and the general public in helping us raise £1000 for NCH Young carers Birmingham. Most of the money raised came from 'Hair today, gone tomorrow', so I would like to say a huge thanks to Andy Merrick for allowing us to spend over 2 hours waxing his legs. Other events included our 25th Anniversary Ball, School days pub crawl and car booting. Thank you all."

2003/2004 Year &endash; The Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic and District Hospital NHS Trust - Torch Appeal
Stuart Ramsay &endash; 2003/2004 Club President Explains why he chose this charity:
" I decided to chose an appeal run from the Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry as my charity for the year as some of my relatives have been patients there. One of the Hospital's main appeals over 2002 to 2007 is the Torch Appeal, which was the one I chose for my year. The aim of the Torch Appeal is to make the Hospital the leading centre dedicated to improving the mobility and independence of physically disabled children. Providing benefits to children with cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy across the UK. The Hospital currently has a purpose built children's facility to which children may be referred to all over the UK."
